2016 NEWS & Events

6th Annual Art Exhibition @ Mission Viejo Library

Our budding artists have had wonderful opportunity this year to share their talents with the community. Students from Atelier: Creative Art Studio started off the year by showcasing their amazing art pieces at our 6th Annual Art Exhibition. As our significant event at our studio, more than 100 pieces transformed the library into an art gallery. At this year's art exhibitioon, many had the opportunity to meet our distinguised artists who have received top notch awards from the O.C. Fair, PTA Reflection Program, city art competition, International Children's Art Contest, Mission Viejo's Art Alive, Junior Duck Stamp Contest, Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, California's Art Contest, and acceptances to top art colleges with scholarships, to name a few. In addition, some of our advanced artist students received the honor to sell their art pieces and have their art pieces published in a renowned art magazines as well as a young artist who illustrated children's books.

OC Fair Imaginology, April 2016

Many of Atelier's students then shared their talents with the public at the OC Fair Imaginology. Students selected their exceptional art pieces and entered them for display. Atelier has participated in this event for the past 4 years and each year have received division winners. This year we are proud to announce that Atelier received 4 division winners along with many other awards.

Street Painters @ Arts Alive Festival, April 30, 2016

8 of Atelier's artists participated as Street Painters at the Arts Alive Festival in Mission Viejo and created impressive pieces of art. In accordance with this year's 90 theme, our artists chose Disney animations that truly transformed pieces of chalk, illuminating and breathing life onto the pavement of the Norman P. Murray Center.

What a great feat our Atelier students have accomplished so far! Congratulations for all the effort, time, dedication, and team work they put into creating such impressive art pieces! From art exhibitions to group paintings, we hope each year our students' works will inspire your artistic perspective and further motivate you to enrich your mind and life with the beauty of visual art.

Our Annual Events

Exhibition
The Art Exhibition is a very important event for our students. Once a year we hold an Art Exhibitions to present our students’ beautiful art pieces to the public. Exhibiting their own art piece further develops self-esteem in our students and is also another way for our students to communicate to the world.

Street Painting
Atelier's young artists participate as street painters annually at the arts alive festival in Mission Viejo. Our street painters help transform the palement of the Norman P. Murray senior center into a gorgeous gallery of art.
